Sherman Otto Bolinger, 78, of this city died March 19 in the Madison County Hospital. He was born April 27, 1887 in this county, the son of Harve Bolinger and Mary Parker Bolinger.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Elva Bolinger, of the home; three sons, Ray Bolinger of Huntsville, Virgil Bolinger of Montclair, Calif., and Paul Bolinger of Valley Falls, Kansas; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Ruthie) Carlock of Route 5, Huntsville, and Mrs. Richard (Mary Lou) Mitchell of Rogers; one brother, Jim Bolinger, of Huntsville; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Stansell of Hindsville, Mrs. Tennie Bowman of Springdale and Mrs. Carrie Dotson of Ontario, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a step-son Otis Hugh Hearron of Waukesha, Wisc.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Brashears Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Cecil Garrison and Jake Drake officiating. Burial was in the Whorton Creek cemetery.

Pallbearers were nephews, Lee Stansell, Grayson Bolinger, Dean Carlock, Allen Bowman, Joe Bolinger and James Bolinger.
