Bill Leroy Lettie, 70, of Louisville, Ky.,died Friday, June 1, 1990 at Jewish Hospital Shelbyville, Ky.
He was born March 18, 1920 in Dora, Pa. To Earl and Winifred (Weaver) Lettie.
A U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II serving in the China-Burma area, he was a member of the American Legion Cosgrove post 523. Mr. Lettie was a maintenance electrician at Eljer Co. in Ford City from 1947 to 1960.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, William A. and Linda Sue Lettie of Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren, Greg Lettie and Amy Lettie; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Catherine) Bish of Punxsutawney RD4, Mrs. Leanna Matthews of Punxsutawney and Mrs. Clyde (Mary Ellen) Dinger of Punxsutawney RD1 and two brothers, Duane Lettie of Coplay, Pa. and Jack Lettie of Punxsutawney.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anna (Enterline) Lettie, whom he married May 30, 1941 and a granddaughter, Kristin Lynn Lettie.
LETTIE --Bill Leroy Lettie 70, of Louisville, Ky., who died Friday, June 1, 1990,friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Frank O. Bly Funeral Home in Dayton, where funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. August Thalman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rural Valley Cemetery. Arrangements by Bly.
