Mr. Francoeur was retired from Roper Corp., Kankakee Division, after 42 years of service. He was born the son of Edward and Victorine Pommier Francoeur. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. He enjoyed golfing and sports of all kinds. Surviving are his wife, the former Jeanette Ward, whom he married May 27, 1943, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church; one son and two daughters-in-law, Edward and Janet Francoeur of Bourbonnais, Janet Francoeur of Ladylake, Fla.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Louise and Jerry Johnson of Crescent City, Calif., Mary Francoeur and her partner, Dr. Ronald Nowman of Kankakee; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Nina Rewerts of Manteno, Melba Barker of Spokane, Wash., Isabelle Martin and Blanche Sebastiani, both of Kankakee, Rachel Hub of Chicago Heights, Athelda Schroeder of Oreville, Calif., Venita White of Modesto, Calif.; and one brother, Ivan Francoeur of Kankakee. Deceased are one son, Joseph; and two brothers, Roger and Shirley Francoeur.
