Ivan E. Francoeur, 86, of Kankakee, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Riverside Medical Center. He was born on January 9, 1931, in Kankakee, to Edward and Victorine Pommier Francoeur. Ivan married Lois Clement on January 6, 1951 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee. She preceded him in death in 2014. He married Norma Rawlins on February 2, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Kankakee.

Ivan retired from A.O. Smith in 1984, after having worked there for 32 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving in the Korean War as a Corporal and sharpshooter from 1951 until 1953. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He enjoyed model airplanes and trains. He knew Jesus as his savior.

Ivan is survived by his wife, Norma Rawlins, of Kankakee.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; three brothers, Roger, Shirley, and Lloyd Francoeur; and seven sisters, Melba Juckett, Venita White, Rachael Hub, Isabelle Martin, Blanche Boudreau, Athelda Orevelle, and Jeanette Rewerts.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Pastor Philip Gardner will officiate. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais.
