Phyllis Brookover

Phyllis Ellen Brookover, 70, of Vienna died March 6, 2002 at the Arbors of Marietta.

She was born July 14, 1931 in Wood County a daughter of the late Lewis 'Doc' and Lizzie Varner Brookover. She formerly worked at DeSales Heights Academy in Parkersburg.

She was a member of Summitt Valley United Methodist Church where she was active in the Womans Society.

She is survived by two sisters, Violet Brookover, and Gladys Riffle both of Vienna; two brothers; Gale Brookover of Parkersburg, and Lawrence Brookover of Vienna; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Summitt Valley United Methodist Church between Vienna and Boaz, the Rev. Jeff Nolte officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of Vienna.
