Gladys G. Riffle, 90, of Vienna died March 10, 2002, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 13, 1911 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Lewis ''Doc' and Lizzie Varner Brookover.
She was a homemaker and an active member of Summit Valley United Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities, including church pianist for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edmund ''Ed'' B. Riffle; two daughters, Joyce Ancrile and Marva Riffle, both of Vienna; one grandson, Jeffrey Ancrile of Vienna; one granddaughter, Jayne Plauche of St. Petersburg, Fla; one great-granddaughter, Jillian C. Plauche of St. Petersburg; one sister, Violet Brookover of Vienna; two brothers, Gale Brookover of Parkersburg and Lawrence Brookover of Vienna; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Howard Brookover; and two sisters, Isa Delancy, and Phyllis Brookover.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Summit Valley United Methodist Church, Pastor Jeff Nolte officiating. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg and for one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church
