Mrs. Rose worked for Kerr's Department Store in Oklahoma City for a number of years and for American Airlines in Tulsa for 19 years. After retiring in the early 1960's, she moved back to Lexington. She was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday school. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Wesley Rose and an infant brother, J. B. Smith.
Survivors include three sisters, Aline Blumhof of Oklahoma City, Ada Nicholson of Plano, Texas, and Bonnie Shobert and her husband, O'Neal, of Slaughterville and one brother, Lawrence Smith and his wife, Bobbie, of Lexington.
Pall bearers were Jim Hunter, Lyman Smith, Jimmy Joe Smith, Jack Odom, David Nicholson and Neal Carpenter.
