August Krueger, nee Winkel, was born at Howards Grove, Sheboygan County, June 12, 1855 and there grew to womanhood. In 1873, she was married to Carl Krueger at Howards Grove where they remained until the following year, when they moved to Unity, WI., where they lived 3 years. They then moved to Green Grove where they have since resided.
To this union 15 children were born, 10 boys, and 5 girls, 4 children preceded her in death.
The Krueger family lived in Green Grove for 52 years and were kind and obliging neighbors and good friends. Mr Krueger preceded her in death some 6 years ago. Since then she made her home with her youngest son, Henry Krueger.
11 children mourn her sudden death, namely; Mrs Lena Zeiger, Milwaukee; Mrs Louise Cole, Mrs. Minnie Baungartner and Albert Krueger , Waukesha; Otto Krueger, Colby; Carl K.,Jr., William, Hugo, Fred, Henry and Mrs Augusta Kobs, all of Green Grove; and 31 grandchildren. She also leaves 4 brothers and 5 sisters;
Funeral held Sat. at the Lutheran Church in Green Grove and internment was made in the family lot in Green Grove Cemetery.
