Louise Augusta Krueger was born 4 Apr 1881 in Green Grove, WI to Carl Frederick Krueger and Augusta Louisa Maria Winkel. She was the sixth child of fifteen. Louise married Louis Leslie Cole on 2 Aug 1904 and they had four children together. They lived in Waukesha, Waukesha County on 305 Fisk Ave. Although German, Louise adopted many of the English Cole customs. Tea was the beverage of choice. Deserts were often small fruit filled tarts and a leg of lamb was often the choice on holidays. Louise was known for her warm loving hugs and kisses for her grandchildren, a house filled with interesting people.

Her husband Louis Cole passed on 12 Jul 1933. Her brother Otto Carl Krueger, his wife, son Arthur and wife Albertine Mae were killed in a train accident in Atwood, Clark County, WI. Having just recovered from illness, Louise insisted on traveling north for the funeral. She suffered a stroke while at th ehome of her brother Henry Krueger in Abbotsford and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where she died, Monday, 15 Feb 1943.
She is survived by two sons, Neland Lawrence in the US. Army in Europe and Louise Paul in Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Dorothy Anne (Richard) Seltzer and Mildred Minnie (Raymond) Becker. Both her daughters were at her bedside at the time of her death. Louise is also survived by two sisters Mrs Gusta Kobs, Chicago, and Mrs. Lena Dreiger, Milwaukee: three brothers, Hugo and William Krueger, Green Grove and Henry Krueger, Abbotsford.
