Michael Rominger was the ninth of eleven known children of Michael Rominger (1709-1803) and Anna Catharina (went by Catharina) Anton (1717-1794), who married 26 Dec 1740 at Hohenwettersbach, Durlach, Germany. They emigrated to Broad Bay (now Waldoboro), Lincoln County, Massachusetts (now Maine) in 1752 or 1753 and then moved to the Moravian Community at Friedland, near present-day Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina in 1770.

Michael married Anna Maria Fishel (1758-1848) on 05 Jun 1818 at Friedland, Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. Michael was a Veteran of the Revolutionary War and both he and his wife received Pensions. Michael and Anna were the parents of twelve known children, namely:

1. Anna Catharina Rominger Bruner (1781-1851)
2. Juliana Rominger Snyder (1782-1872)
3. Johann Philip Rominger (1784-1860)
4. Anna Maria Rominger Ziegler (1785-1872)
5. John Martin Rominger (1787-1868)
6. Frances Sophronia Rominger Shore (1788-1862)
7. Eva Rominger Snow Swaim (1790-p1860)
8. Benjamin Rominger (1792-1866)
9. Elisabeth Rominger Lewis (1794-1830)
10. George Rominger (1795-1843)
11. Anna Susannah Rominger Shore (1798-1888)
12. Conrad Rominger (1800-1848)

A death date for the daughter Eva is not known. Eva moved from North Carolina to Indiana and then perhaps to Illinois. She was living with her daughter Permelia/Adelia Swaim Bruner at Haw Creek Township, Bartholomew County, Indiana in 1860.
