Correl James Taylor married first to Ethel Rose Tran in 1918 and she died the following year, of influenza during the flu epidemic.

Correl James Taylor met Nellie May Trim in Sunfield, Michigan where Nellie had resided for about 14 years. Nellie and Correl married on 30 July 1921.

Correl married her in 1921 and she died in 1925. They had a son Richard E. Taylor, born on 16 March 1923 in Michigan. Father Correl James Taylor raised him for a while, but gave him to his sister Carrie to be raised. He was raised by his Aunt Carrie according to family notes.

Correl married third to Mozelle Aletha Hicks about 1928. She was the daughter of Fred Hicks and Nina Jacott.

Nellie Trim, Corrle's first wife, was born in Washington County, Colorado in 1901 and moved from family in Colorado to be with her Trim grandparents, after her mother, Flora Etta (Franklin) Trim, passed away when Nellie was only six years old. Nellie was one of five children born to George Trim and Flora Franklin, before Flora died. Nellie's known brothers are Clarence Trim, born 1895, and Arthur Trim, born 1896.

In 1910, Nellie resides with grandmother Emelina Trim in Sunfield. She briefly went back to Colorado to see her father George Trim, and resides in Morgan County, Colorado in 1920. She was on her way back to Michigan shortly after, and our Colorado family said they never saw her again.

Correl James Taylor is the son of Edward and Margaret (Kidd) Taylor. He was born and raised in Sunfield. Correl and Nellie had one son, Richard, born in 1923, before Nellie died. Correl wrote a very difficult letter to family in Colorado about Nellie. In August of 1925, Correl writes to Nellie's father George:
"I haven't had the courage to write sooner, but will try now. Little Richard is in bed asleep. He doesn't realize much that he has lost his mother and best chum he will ever have. Nellie was a fine little Mother and house wife. She had not been well and strong now for over a year. We have doctored all over the country, but it didn't do any good. It must have been to be. "

Correl talks about selling his farm near Sunfield, Mich. and moving up to Lansing where his mother lives. Then she can care for Little Richard. They plan to come to Colo. next spring to see Nellie's place. Little Richard has asthma pretty badly, he wrote.

Katie Trim wrote to Nellie's father George on 30 July 1925: Nellie was laid away yesterday. She looked nice - but she had an old look for one so young. She had the most beautiful collection of flowers I ever saw.
