Obituary
Randall Church who was the oldest inmate of the Soldiers Home died at that institution on Tuesday. He was born in 1781, served a brief period in the war of 1812, and was admitted to the Home in 1875. Mr. Church left a daughter and other relatives in this city. The funeral services took place yesterday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Upjohn officiating. - Daily Kennebec Journal - 17 October 1879
