To their union they had nine children; Christina Elizabeth "Ena" b. 1881; Margaret Matilda "Maggie" b. 1883; Linnie Elizabeth b. 1885; Wesley Edward b. 1888; Noah David b. 1889; Bertie Lovus b. 1892; William Joshua b. 1894; Mary Ellen b. 1896 and Walter b. 1901. All of the children were born in Oregon. Walter was born about 3 months before his father's death. Amy died October 27, 1938 in Baker City, Baker, Oregon. Squire Cain died in Haystack, Oregon.
