Robert E. Borg, of Center City, died Jan. 8, 2004, at St. John's Hospital, at the age of 88.
Bob was born June 6, 1915, in Allen, Nebraska, to John and Ruth Borg. He attended Poplar School. On March 6, 1981, he married Dorothy Haag. He worked as a calculator repairman. Bob enjoyed woodworking, camping and gardening.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons: Robert II, Michael, Randy; stepchildren: Mike Haag, Lorraine Swenson, Jeanette Jones, Jack Haag, David Haag; 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Francis, Jeanette, Bernice and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, at the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Andrea Roles officiating. Music was provided by Joann Nielsen and Jon Ekstrom.
Interment in the Methodist Cemetery.
