She married Alexander Houston on October 24, 1836 in Acworth, New Hampshire. Shortly after they married they moved to Starksboro, Vermont. Together they had 3 children: Watson, Adaline and Daniel. They migrated to Wisconsin and then to Mantorville township, Dodge County, Minnesota where they farmed. Her husband died February 24, 1889.
Betsy lived the remainder of her life near Mantorville and died there on August 9, 1901 and was buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Kasson, Minnesota beside her husband.
