Mrs. Andrew Tschida Is Found Dead at Home

Mrs. Andrew Tschida (Catherine Kubitschek), 78, died Friday in her home. Friends from Staples who had come for the Keck funeral stopped to call on her and found her dead in a rocking chair. They were Mrs. Leon Deering and Mrs. Anton Macho. They summoned a neighbor, Mrs. Otto Barthel, who in turn notified authorities.

Born in Pierz, she married Andrew Tschida and they farmed near Philbrook for a few years before returning to the Pierz area. Her husband died in 1955.

She is survived by two sisters, Annie Kubitschek, Pierz and Mrs. John Gross, Lastrup; and a half-sister, Mrs. Agnes Bretzel, St. Cloud.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church with interment in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were six nephews, Clarence Tschida, Herman Tschida, Edward Tschida, Martin Tschida, Henry Gross and Herman Gross. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Otto Barthel, Mrs. Ben Eller, Mrs. Joe Motschke, Mrs. Ann Rauch, Mrs. Henry Meyer and Mrs. Theodore Girtz.
