Anna Eliza Anderson, youngest daughter of John and Elizabeth Anderson, was born in Van Buren County near Birmingham, Iowa, Sept. 11, 1863, and passed away Dec. 6, 1947, at the Jefferson county hospital at Fairfield, Iowa, at the age of 85 years 2 months, and 25 days.

She was united in marriage to Meldon W. Nelson Dec. 16, 1885. To this union were born ten children, seven of whom survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away Dec. 28, 1943, and three children who died in infancy.

There are left to mourn her passing, the following children; George L., Ben W., Sylvester W. and Annetta of Birmingham, Beatrice of Los Angeles, Calif., Allen B. and Mrs. Elvin Edwards of Fairfield. Also, surviving are ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Samantha Bonnett of Birmingham.
