Md George D. Deahl 9 Jan 1871
…Sarah E. Anderson was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, March 17, 1852, and died at Long Beach, Cal., October 3; 1920, aged 68 years 6 months and 16 days.
…She lived the most of her life in and around Birmingham, Iowa, and a few years on the Pacific coast.
…She was united in marriage to George D. Deahl, January 9, 1871. To this union were born five children: J. F. Deal of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Rose Walters of Fairfield, Iowa; Charles N. and Jay Deahl of Long Beach, Cal. An infant daughter preceded her in death. Seven grandchildren survive her. She also leaves tow brothers and three sisters: Josiah Anderson of Birmingham, Iowa; Charles Anderson of Council Grove, Kas.; Mrs. G. W. Bonnett, Akron, Col.; Mrs. I. M. Bonnett and Mrs. Anna Nelson of Birmingham, Iowa. The husband died about ten years ago.
…Her second marriage was to Capt. J. T. Morris of Long Beach, Cal., October 12, 1918, he being left to mourn her departure.
…Sister Deahl Morris was a faithful and devoted Christian, always at her post when her health would permit, regular at church services, her testimony to a definite work of grace in her heart could not be doubted.
…She was loved by all. The bereaved husband has lost a faithful companion, the home a kind mother, the community a dear friend, the church a strong and devoted member.
…Funeral services were held at the Free Methodist church at Birmingham, Friday afternoon, October 8th, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. C. Behner, assisted by Rev. R. N. Bailey and A. A. Brennehan.
