Jan 18, 1955 - Carroll Daily Times - LAKE VIEW - Edward Wollesen, 64, died at 4:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, in the Manning Hospital, where he had been a patient about a week.
Mr. Wollesen, son of John P. and Theresia Wollesen, was born Jan. 17, 1890, in Lake View. He was married Feb. 24. 1915, to Elizabeth Mauer in Wall Lake. They spent their married life on farms in Sac County. Mr Wollesen moved about 2 1/2 years ago to Lake View, where he made his home until his last illness.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, two brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by two daughters: Lucille (Mrs William Cleveland, jr) and Mildred (Mrs Maurice McCurnin) of Clemens; 4 sons: Everett, Early; Edward, Ulmer; LaVerne, Sac City; Alfred, Lake View; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Oscar Weitzel; a brother, Harry.
Funeral services were conducted at the Lutheran church in Wall Lake. Pallbearers were: Fike Gerdes, Loren Westrom, LaVern Schultz, Harold Wollesen, Elmer Wollesen, and Raymond Lange. Burial was in the Wall Lake Cemetery.
