Mrs. Oscar Weitzel, 71, died Saturday, October 11th at 7:30 a.m. in St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minn. Mrs. Weitzel had been in failing health for some time.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Emmanuel Lutheran church with Rev. Marvin W. Lilie in charge.
Burial was in the Wall Lake cemetery.
Marie Elizabeth Wollesen, daughter of John and Theresa Wollesen, was born in Wall Lake township, Sac county, Iowa October 4, 1887. She was baptized in the Lutheran church at Wall Lake Dec. 30, 1888.
March 11, 1908 she was married to Oscar Weitzel. They had one son and two daughters. One daughter Dorothy preceded her mother in death.
After farming for five years near Early they moved to Lake View in 1913. They have made their home here the past 45 years.
Surviving are her husband; a son Marvin of Lake View; and a daughter, Berniece, Mrs. Eugene Lytten of Sioux City; one brother, Harry Wallesen of Lake View and five grandchildren.
