Served in 25th Michigan Infantry, Co A. From his military papers he was born in Covington, NY. (This is in the NE corner of Wyoming Co.) When he enlisted 5 August 1862 he was 29 years 1 month. He volunteered at Homer, Calhoun Co, MI. (County west of Jackson Co.) He had blue eyes, black hair and light complexion. He was 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He died Nov 19, 1862 in Louisville, KY of typhoid fever.

On Oct 10, 1857 he married Alvira L. Reynolds in Calhoun Co, MI. I believe she remarried after his death. There were no children to my knowledge.
