A 72-year old Springfield Twp man died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Thursday afternoon, 3 Feb 1955, about 4:15 o'clock. Guy R. Wible, who lived near his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. John Rogers, RD 2, Orbisonia, near Meadow Gap, had gone to the barn to do some chores about 3:30 in the afternoon and, when he did not return to the house within a reasonable time, members of the family investigated at 4:45 and found the he had expired. He had gone to the hay mow to pitch some hay when he was stricken. He had been in his usual health and this death was unexpected. He was born 13 Dec 1882, Springfield Twp, son of Hiriam and Catherine (Graham) Wible. He was united in marriage to Laura M. Ramsey, Springfield Twp, 22 Feb 1905, and she proceded him in death on 13 Apr 1947. By occupation, Mr. Wible was a farmer. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Mount Carmel, Three Springs. He is survived by the following children: Lottie (Mrs. Walter Grove), William C. Wible, and Isabelle (Mrs. John Rogers), Orbisonia; and Helen (Mrs. Maurice Shaffer), Fort Knox, KY. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon, 6 Feb 1955, at 2 o'clock, at Ott's Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Services are in charge of Rev Richard Meyers, pastor of the Cavalry Baptist Church, Saltillo. Interment will be made in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Three Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon Saturday until the hour of services.
