Graveside services will be held for Gussie Glen Lackey, 64, of Coos Bay, at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Ocean View Memory Gardens.
The Rev. Frank Potmesil, Bay Area Christian Fellowship, will officiate.
Mr. Lackey, was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Lincoln, Ark. He died Jan. 12, 1998, in Coos Bay.
He came to Coos Bay in 1956 and went to work at Coos Head Timber. He operated Jugs Tavern, The Club, Eldorado and eventually opened Gussie's Place in 1974. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks, Eagles, Ducks Unlimited, Bay Area Sportsmans Association and the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. He sponsored many Community activities.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Lackey, in 1990.
