He was born February 16, 1935, at Low Gap, to Joe Burl and Jenny Viola Scroggins Lackey. He loved getting on his tractor and brush hogging, watching old westerns and game shows, and tinkering with things to try and fix them. He loved to work and provide for his family and visiting with grandkids and great-grand kids. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Lackey; a son, Ricky Lackey; and a great-grandson, Randy Lee Lackey.
