Elizabeth Knuth, 93, of Salem
died Tuesday.
She was born in Saratoga,Wyo. and moved to the West Coast in 1943. She worked in the shipyards during World War II and was a chef at Jantzen Beach. She worked at several restaurants and hotels in the Wallamette Valley. she moved to Salem 10 years ago. Her husband, Vincent, whom she married in 1923, died in 1981.
Survivors include her sons, Victor of Dayton and Robert of Sarcramento, Calif.; daughters, Dorothy Baker of Battle Ground, Wash.,Elizabeth Francis of Las Vegas, Carolyn Russell of Lincoln City, Sandra Green of Vancouver, Wash., Shirly Nunnelly of Bend, Mary Christofferson of Scappoose and Ruth Jungkeit of Mountain Gate, Calif.; sister, Marguerite Dyce of Denver, Colo.; 26 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
