Mr. Cornell, 92, was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 15, 1863. With his wife, Hannah, who survives him, he celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary last April 15. The couple were married in Tecumseh Nebraska in 1890.

Mr. Cornell came to the Platte Valley from Nebraska in 1902, working as a freighter on the Wolcott and Encampment line. At the same time, he was engaged in the ranching business. In 1906, he homesteaded on the Savery Creek and lived there with his family until 1910 when he returned to Saratoga where he has since made his home. He was employed at team work and with hay crews until his retirement some years ago.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two at the local Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Robt. J. Palmer officiating. Pallbearers were Chas Fryer, Russell Baldwin, J. 0. Yoakum, Frank Hughes, Kenneth Day and Ed Francis. Mrs. Louise Allen at the piano furnished the music, accompanying Mrs. L. C.
