Elizabeth Hemler married John Eckenrode/Eckenroth brn 1798 on the 9th of April.

John Jr. brn. about 1798 was married on the 9th of April 1826 to Elizabeth Hemler(CR, 1942, page 15).He was the executor for the will and estate of his uncle Henry(3).

In 1850 he was living in Mt. Pleasant Township with Elizabeth age 47 and children:

1. Joseph A brn. 15th October 1828, baptized 14th December 1828 of John and Elizabeth Hemler Eckenrode. Sponsors: John Hemler and Mary Andorf. (WK-book page 113) or (CR1980, page B-45; Original Book 1, page 309)

2. Mary Anna brn. 27th September 1830, baptised 23rd January 1831 of John and Elizabeth Hemler Eckenrode. Sponsor: George Eckenrode and Anna Hemler. (WK-book page 113) or (CR1980, page B-44 Orignial Book 1, page 319) She married Jacob Smith in 1850 (History Cumberland & Adams County, page 503)

3. John brn. 16th July 1834, was thought to be (Jun. 19, 1831);He was baptised 27th July 1834 of John and Elizabeth Hemler Eckenroth. Sponsors: John Eckenroth and Mary Anna Hemler. 4. Henry brn. 1838

5. Agnes brn. 1840; and John's sister Catharine (Eckenrode) Chambers age 52.

John(4) died on 21st May 1877 aged 74 years, 3 months, 19 days and Elizabeth died 17th April 1871 aged 68 years, 1 month, 5 days. Both are buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township, Adams County.
