He was born in Meade County, July 10, 1914, the son of the Charles Edward Allen and Susie Pearl Thacker.
Mr Allen was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs Mary Redmond of California, one granddaughter, Madonna Redmond, one grandson, Jamie Redmond; one sister, Mrs Mona Foster, Wolf Creek, KY nine nieces and nephews, Frieda Humphrey, Irene Ory, Dorothy Stiles, Wilmer Frans, Ralph Frans, Donald Burrell, Oliver Burrell, Audrey Brown and Hazel Clark. 35 great-nieces and nephews; and 29 great-great- nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held 4:00 p.m. Sat. Spril 28th from the Chaqpel of Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Connett officiating. Interment was in the Parr Cemetery, with military honors, directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Pallbearers were military personnel.
