SHREVEPORT, LA - Mr. Roy M. Mayfield died at the Grace Home, Wednesday morning, following a lengthy illness. Born on July 2, 1941 in Shreveport, LA. Services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. R. W. Mayfield.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. Thursay, February 22, 2001 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Mayfield and seven children, Larry Paul Mayfield, Sherri Lynn Crawford, Joseph Robert Mayfield, Daniel Blake Mayfield, Darrell Blaine Mayfield, Jacquelyn Ruth Sheppard, Christian Gabriel Mayfield and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Thelma O. Mayfield and is preceded in death by his father, Roy D. Mayfield. He has five brothers and three sisters: Kenneth R. Mayfield, Phil Mayfield, Jimmie Mayfield, Bobby Mayfield, Billy Mayfield, Glenda Castro, Delores Carter and Bettye M. Putch.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Mayfield, Nathan Putch, Joshua Carter, J. L. Mayfield, Marc Mayfield and David Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers are Denis L. Putch, Harold R. Carter and Jack Harvey.
