SHREVEPORT, LA- Graveside services with military honors for Billy Mayfield, 57, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Billy was born as a triplet, the first set of triplets, to be born at Schumpert Hospital. Billy was born July 8, 1956 in Shreveport, LA to Roy and Thelma Mayfield and passed away on October 24, 2013. He was a resident of Shreveport and a retired Insurance Agent. He enjoyed hunting, golf, football, basketball and baseball. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bettye M. Putch; brothers, Roy, Jimmie and Phillip Mayfield. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Mayfield; son, Taylor Mayfield; brothers, Bobby and Kenny Mayfield; sisters, Glenda Castro and Delores Carter.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Putch, Josh Carter, Randy Moulton, Patrick Mayfield, Larry Mayfield and Darrell Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers are Shane Shumake, and Mark Mayfield.
