She was born December 5, 1913, in Indiana to Irma and Martin P. Cartmell. As a child her parents moved to Montana by covered wagon to a homestead.
She marrried Foster Wilkerson on Feb. 27, 1934. He died June 11, 1980.
She was a longtime member of the former Reynolds Christian Church, where she sang in the church choir. She enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Surviving are a daughter, Jayne Mansfield; and a sister, Vesta Boze. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Wilbur Wilkerson, who was raised in her home; a sister, Freda Brown; a brother, Charley Cartmell; and a son-in-law, Richard Mansfield. After her parents death Flossie was raised by her Aunt Mary Powell.
