Died - In McGregor, on the morning of the 18th of Diptheria, Hattie, Daughter of Edmund and Harriet Douglas, aged 10 years and six months.
Little Hattie will be missed by many warm, devoted friends, who, in all the years of life, will remember her only as a sweet, pure and lovely child.

There is a discrepency with the obituary. The 1860 Census taken in June 1860 does not have a daughter Hattie or any other child as a new born. According to the obituary she should have been born in May of 1860.
