Edna Pearl Spradling of Purdy was born on March 30, 1931 and died on December 20, 1950 at the age of 19 years, 8 months and 21 days. Her infant daughter, Brenda Willene, was born on October 24, 1950 and died on December 22, 1950. Her mother, Jessie Irene (Tackett) Foster, died on April 6, 1943. Survivors include her husband, Rex Henry Spradling; her daughter, Jessie Erlene; her father, Jesse Alfred Foster; her brothers, Chester Faye Foster, Johnie Summers Foster, Lester Archie Foster. Noel Allen Foster, Orville Kenneth Foster, and William Riley Foster; and her half brother, Alfred Daniel Foster. Joint funeral services for Mrs. Spradling and the baby, who was placed in her mother's arms, were held Friday at Purdy Church conducted by Rev. Don Montgomery. Burial was in Big Sandy Cemetery in Purdy.
