Services were held Saturday, September 8, for Joseph Hoyt Bean at the Abrams Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends David Greer and Thomas Warren officiating with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Bean died Friday, September 7, at the Okolona Community Hospital. He was 83 years old, a retired factory worker and a member of the Okolona First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Mae Bean of Okolona; two sons, Billy Bean of Okolona and Jerry Bean of Daytona Beach, Florida; two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Harold Blaylock, Jack Singleton, Ben Partlow, Jr., Ken Eubank, Johnny Wiygul, and Sam Warren.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Okolona First United Methodist Church.
