Okolona-Billy Joe Bean, age 57, died Monday, Dec 26, 1994 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo of Cardiac arrest. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec 28 at Southern Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Oddfellows Cemetery, Okolona, with Bro. Randy Lewman and Bro. Wallace Cason officiating.
A native of Chickasaw County, he was a retired postmaster at Shannon and was a member of Okolona Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Billie Eugenia McIntosh Bean of Okolona; one brother, Jerry Lee Bean of Daytona Beach, FL; one daughter, Melinda J. Bean of Orlando FL; one son, Robert (Bobby) Hoyt Bean of Okolona; one daughter in law, Dawn Wampner Bean and one granddaughter, Tyler Renae Bean. Southern Funeral Home Chapel of Okolona was in charge of the arrangements.
