Linda Faye Porter Bankson, 43 passed at 12:30 am, Wednesday at her home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Bankson, was born July 6, 1952 to Walter James and Fay Ruth (Ingle) Porter at Joplin, Mo. She was a lifelong area resident. She had worked at Barker Rest Home, Galena, as a certified nurse's aide the past eight years
She married Mike Bankson on Feb 28, 1973, at Miami, Ok., he survives.
Also surviving are a son, Danny, a step son Travis, a daughter Crystal, Father, Walter Porter; three brothers, James, Waco, MO.; Larry, Baxter Springs, KS. and David, Galena; two sisters, Patricia Neal and Alice Girton both of Galena, and four grandchildren.
Services will be 4:30 pm Friday at Derfelt Funeral Home Galena, The Rev. Charles Idleman will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena
Pallbearers will be Steve Girton, Douglas Girton, Gary Neal, Scott Porter, Travis Bankson and Larry Link.
