The remains of the late Henry B. Appling, a member of the pioneer Mariposa county family, who passed away at his home at Raymond Monday, were laid to rest in the Plainsburg cemetery Wednesday afternoon, following funeral services held at Madera. Mr. Appling had lived in Mariposa county for the past sixty years. He is survived by his father, C. W. Appling of Stockton; one son, Burton Appling of Raymond; two daughters, Mrs L. P. Krentz of Auberry and Mrs. Cibba Calhoun of Green Mountain; four brothers, J. C. and L. L. Appling of Madera; J. D. Appling of Oakland and W. C. Appling of Modesto; one sister, Mrs. A. L. Mullins of Stockton.
