He married Georgia Lockaby on 28 October 1917 in Alma, Stephens County, Oklahoma. There were eight children born of this union. Chilren are Agnes Evelyn (died as an infant), Nora Elizabeth (Cockrell), Orville Houston, Margaret Ann (Gibbs, Tamburo, and Ritter), Buford Allen, Virgie Faye (Eversole), Donald Edward,and a living Son.
