Ralph A. Buck,96, of Kelso, died March 14,1999, at the Hospice Care Center.
He was born Sept,9,1902,in Lenore Okla, to Walter Ernest and Ada Alice (Bowman) Buck, and moved to the local area in 1936 from Emmett,Idaho.
Mr. Buck worked for Weyerhaeuser Co. for 33 years as a resawyer, retiring in 1967,He enjoyed Gardening, working around his yard and bulding things,and was very active in his church and his home. He was a member of the Castle Rock Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A son, Delvin Buck,died 25 years ago. He was also Preceded in death by Three brothers, LeRoy, Willmer and Ernest Buck, and a sister, Inez Mason.
He leaves his wife, Elnora; whom he married Sep 3, 1936, four sons, Norbert Buck of Portland, Ore.
Kenneth Buck of Madras,Ore.,Lonnie Buck of Sacramento,Calif, and Clarel Buck, of Castle Rock,Wash; a brother, Frank Buck, of Burns,Ore.; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The fureral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the LDS Kelso-Castle Rock Ward building, with the committal service to follow at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens.
