Molly Hendricks Hood, 66 of Woodland, GA died Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home in Woodland, GA.
Mrs. Hood was born July 11, 1957, in Warm Springs, GA the daughter of Danny and Rose Buckner Hendricks. She retired from the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation in Warm Springs, GA. Molly loved writing letters and over many years was a pen pal to many all over the world. She was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church and part of the Card Ministry. She loved animals, especially her dog Jessie. She used Jessie as pet therapy and would take her to Florence Hand Nursing Home in LaGrange, GA and West Village Retirement Home in Thomaston, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Patty Buice.
Memorial services for Mrs. Hood will be held 11:00 am Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Cox Funeral Home 93 Prather Barnes Road Manchester, GA 31816. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be private at Meriwether Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Harris County Humane Society hsharrisco.org or the Woodland Baptist Church P. O. Box 306 Woodland, GA 31836 in memory of Molly Hendricks Hood.
