Rose Buckner Hendricks, age 84, of Woodland, Georgia, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019, at the Riverside Nursing Home, Thomaston, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2019, at the Woodland Baptist Church with the Reverend Jimmie Chapman, officiating, and the Reverend Wayne Gannaway, assisting.
Entombment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum with Mike Buckner, Dal Gibson, James Wise, Robert Wise, Sam Cleveland and Charles Daniel serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hendricks was born June 5, 1935, in Junction City, the daughter of William H. Buckner, Sr. and Voncile Parks Buckner. She was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church, the Gideon Auxiliary and the Manchester Gideon Camp. She was also a member of the Find A Grave community; her member number was 47059849.
Mrs. Hendricks was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Patty Hendricks Buice and a brother, Harvey Buckner, Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, James Daniel "Danny" Hendricks of Woodland, her daughters, Molly Hood and her husband Jack of Woodland, Jennie Mullis and her husband, Kevin of Conyers; son-in-law, Mitch Buice of Barnesville; one sister, Charlyn Morgan of Junction City; three grandchildren, Lauren Hale and her husband, Lewis of Griffin, Alli Bennett and her husband, Jason of Zebulon, Cody Buice of Syracuse, NY; three great grandchildren, Carsen Hale, Cameron Hale and Tucker Bennett.
