Carol Marie Olson
April 11, 1944 — July 31, 2021

Carol Marie Olson was born in Buh Township and lived in Pierz, Minnesota, and passed away at age 77 on July 31st, 2021, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Elvira Bahns, and by her sister, Veronica Strom.

She is survived by her son, Kurt Olson; husband, Rodger Duval; first husband, Bob (Cathy) Olson; sisters, Dianne (Doug) McPhaden, Judy Wells, and Shirley (Larry) Nixon; brother, Tommy Bahns; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who love her very much.

"Oh, Carol"… She loved life so much. Loved adventure and to travel. Most of all she loved her son, Kurt. She was the proudest mama and would let you know it. She loved to go listen to him play his drums. Dancing and singing along, she was the life of the party. A very hard worker, working many jobs, including working at Northern Hydraulics, as well as owning her own businesses at times. All in some way serving others. So full of compassion, couldn't stand to see any suffering. Like her mom, she took in all strays, animals and human beings. She'd tell you what she thought of everything whether you agreed or not. Life wasn't always easy for her, with some health issues. She defied the odds many times to be able to stay a little longer and do a little more. She always kept her faith. It was very important to her. In her last days, Jesus was there with her and led her home.

She will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life in the near future with family and friends.
