I do not know his full given name, he was born to Willam and Nancy Brown Caudle, being their 4 child and son(stone says Son of William and Nancy Caudle). He had 7 half siblings (though I don't think one thought of it that way back then), making him really the 11 child and 9th son.
On 02 Apr 1857 he married Rebecca E. Hutchens in Yadkin County, North Carolina and to this marriage were born 7 known children, 3 being born in Yadkin County, North Carolina and the remaining 4 being born in Wright County, Missouri. It is believed that they also came with his brothers Amos and Lewis and their families. Their 4th child was born in Missouri in 1872.
Know very little about their lives, unable to find them in 1870 census and with him dying at age 43 it is hard to know much. In North Carolina he was a Blacksmith, but do not know if that was his trade in Missouri.
