Graveside services for Floyd Mearl Brewer, 73, were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at Sharon Cemetery with Rev. Wyatt Bradberry officiating. Burial was under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home. Mr. Brewer died Saturday, Dec. 23, 1989, at Titus County Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Margie Brewer, Winnsboro, four daughters, June Bass, Winnsboro, Becky Talley, Blossom, Debbie Dodd, Mount Pleasant, and Jo Kinney, Hemet, California; one brother, Travis Brewer, Winnsboro two sisters, Roberta Wooley, Pasadena, and Lila Mae Parker, Royce City; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Brewer was born August 28, 1916, in Delta County to Elijah and Myrtle Finch Brewer. On January 26, 1938, he married Margie Stevens, who survives him. A farmer and a truck driver, he was a member of the Shady Grove Methodist Church. Nephews served as pallbearers.
