Charles Thomas Forbes, who came to Santa Cruz from Fresno about eight years ago to make his home and retire here, died in a local hospital October 19. He was a native of Missouri, aged 86 years. He made his home at 27 Reed Way in Santa Cruz and had been ill but a short time.

His widow, Ella Norah (Smith) Forbes of Santa Cruz, whom he married in 1891 in Fayette, Iowa; two sons: Heston A. Forbes of Reno and Ted R. Forbes of Fresno, and one daughter, Irette Larsen, of Fresno, survive. There are also three brothers and one sister in the east and two grandchildren.

Services will be conducted in White's Chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00.
