Opal Loraine Gates, 52, of 3511 Camden Ave., died at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening.
She was born in Reynoldsville, Harrison County, daughter of the late Andrew J. and Melissa Phillips Gates. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two adopted daughters, Virginia and Debbie Jo Gates, at home; six sisters, Mrs. Stella Grote; Mrs. Jean (Geneva) Phillips; and Mrs. Elsie Jobes of Parkersburg; Mrs. Julia Ramsey of Ripley; Mrs. Goldie Dye of Belpre and Mrs. Hazel Kesterson of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, Clarence C. Griffith of Biloxi, Miss., and a foster brother, (cousin) Daniel C. Bauman of Parkersburg.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Franklin & Son Memorial Chapel in Parkersburg, with the Rev. Gilbert J. Duchow officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
