Mrs. Stella G. Blair Grote, 73, of College Parkway, died at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Friday evening.
She was born in Johnstown, Pa., daughter of the late Andy and Melissa Jane Phillips Gates. She was an employee of the former Porcelain Plant, now A.B. Chance, for 22 years.
She is survived by a son, Glenn C. Blair, of Bryan, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Lorrain McClead, of Belpre; a brother, Clarence Griffith, of Biloxi, Miss.; five sisters, Hazel Crumrine of Modesto Calif., Geneva Phillips and Elsie Jobes, of Parkersburg, Julia Ramsey of Ripley and Goldie Dye of Belpre; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde T. Blair, and by a son, one brother and two sisters.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.C. Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Leavitt Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Sunday.
