When Abraham Warford was born in 1733 (Baptized April 1, 1733), in New Jersey, his father, Job, was 24 and his mother, Mary Delameter, was 20.

He married Hannah Seybold (last name uncertain). They moved to Loudoun County, Virginia around 1766. They had at least the following children:

1. Elizabeth (1764-1846) - She married James Crooks.

2. William (August 15, 1766-April 21, 1835) - He married Hannah Lee (March 17, 1766-?), daughter of John Lee, of New Jersey.

3. Catherine (1768-?) - She married Jacob Shry on October 31, 1799.

4. Sarah (1770-?) -

5. Theodocia (1780-1853) - She married Joshua Lee on September 27, 1799. (Catherine and Theodosia's marriages show Abraham Warford as security). Page 2 and 5, of Jewell's "Marriage Bonds of Loudoun County, Va. 1762 to 1850."

In his will, children William, Catherine, Jewell, and Theodicia are mentioned.

Abraham died sometime between May 5, 1796 when his will was written and 1799 when his will was proved, in Virginia at the age of 63.

Abraham Warford was one of my sixty four 5th great grandfathers. I am descended from him through Elizabeth Warford. Using the ThruLines program on Ancestry.com I can provide evidence for four of the children of Abraham Warford. That does not mean that the other is incorrect (Sarah). She may not have had children or may just not have any descendants alive today that have taken the Ancestry.com DNA test and provided sufficient family tree information to Ancestry for them to be matched to me. In the name of God Amen. The fifth day of May in the year of our Lord 1796

I Abraham Warford of the Parrish of Cameron in the County of Loudoun in the Colony of Virginia being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory. Thanks be given to God for the same, and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die -- do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend myself to the hands of God that gave it and for my body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life--I give, devise, and dispose of the same in manner and form following, that is to say in the first place, I ordain that all my just debts be paid out of my estate.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my son William one hundred and fifty acres of land lying on the said of my tract on which he is now living.

Item, I given and bequeat to Hannah, my devoted and beloved wife, the remainder of my tract of land containing one hundred acres including my dwelling house and all my moveable properties during her life and at the decease of my said wife Hannah, I ordain that the aforesaid one hundred acres of land be equally divided between my three daughters; Jewell, Catherine, and Theodocia, and also after the death of my said wife Hannah, that all the moveable properties that she will then possess of shall be equally divided among all my children and,

I do hereby constitute ordain and appoint Hannah my wife, Joseph Hutchison, and James Crooks to be Executors of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke, and annull all and every other former Testaments, Wills, and Legacies before this time willed or bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament. In witness wherefore have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above mentioned.

He appears on the tax rolls in Virginia in 1788.

On March 5, 1790 Abraham Warford, of the Parish of Cameron, Loudoun County, Virginia, sold to William Allen, of the same Parish, 2 and 1/4 acres of land near Abraham's orchard, for 300 pounds. (Deed Book 5, page 140).

Abraham Warford gave as a gift, land to Joseph Crooks (Deed Book R, page 257).
