Eva loved animals and owned and operated a pet shop from 1946 to 1968. She and her daughter also operated the Great Northern Hotel in Joplin, MO.
Eve was Catholic and was active in her church. She is buried next to her daughter, Elsie Ferguson.

Mrs. Eva Waugh, 82 years old, of the Robertson apartments, 410 Wall Avenue, died at 5:30 o'clock Monday afternoon in Joplin House nursing home, where she had been a patient since March.
Born July 14, 1885, in Rock Port, MO., she had lived in Joplin since 1927. Mrs. Waugh was associated in the Joplin Pet shop from 1929 until retiring in 1950. She had been in ill health 15 months. She was the widow of James Orville Waugh. Mrs. Waugh was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Ferguson of the Robertson apartments.
Parker mortuary will have charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the chapel after 5 o'clock this afternoon.
