A funeral service for Claude Leon Dudley, 73, is scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2023, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Dale Jamerson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Antioch Cemetery.
Claude was born on August 13, 1950, to Jack Johnson and Gertie Lee (Baker) Dudley in Jacksonville, Texas. Claude was a Christian man and a loving son, brother, husband, father, and papa. He spent most of his career working on the pipeline all over the United States to include West Texas, Colorado, and Wyoming. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time at the deer lease with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Gertie Dudley; loving wife, Vickie Dudley; daughter, Nikie Nicole Dudley; son, David James Taylor; brothers, Jackie Dudley, Robert Earl Dudley, Ronnie Wallace, and Lynn Wallace; and sisters, Pat Brown and Beth Lomax.
Left to cherish Claude's memory are his daughter, Melissa Allen and husband Charlie; 3 sisters, Francis Dudley, Bonnie Hulsey and husband Earl, and Charlotte Bonner; and brother, Frank Dudley and wife Lori. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Kerri Burleson and husband Dalton, Brent Taylor, Brittany Thigpen and husband Anthony, Carlie Tavera and husband Shawn, Jase Allen, Jax Allen, and Jaylee Allen; and 6 great grandchildren: Sky, Adaline, Zaine, Baine, Rylie, and Savanna.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Tavera, John Dudley II, Jason Dudley, John "Tra" Dudley III, Brady Heitzman, Chad Bonner, Patrick Chase Birdwell, and Jeremy Jones. Honorary pallbearers are George Trahan.
